Tauer Machine Open Belt Primary Transmission for Harley-Davidson motorcycles including covers,oil coolers, covers for BDL and aftermarket V Twin Engines

The Renegade is a high performance 3" 8mm open primary drive available for models with an electric start. This drive has the highest standards, including starter gear and billet aluminum pulleys.  All Tauer Machine drives come standard with 9 Kevlar clutch fibers which increase the amount of surface contact in the clutch basket.

Tauer Machine Open Belt Drives - Tauer Machine Warrior Open Belt Drive for Harley Davidson Softail Motorcycles

The Warrior open primary drive has all the features of the Renegade drive with an additional new one.  The oil filter is positioned in the backing plate with Tauer Machines Air Scoop machined in the plate, feeding air flow to the oil filter with the twin cam filter. This larger filter holds more oil and aids in cooling the engine oil with more surface area. This drive features all the components needed to put a 3 Inch open primary drive on a softail with an electric start.  Motor spacers may be needed but sold separately (see our hardware page).
