Warranty

General Conditions
1. There is usually a maximum of 12 months warranty against manufacturing defects.  Different  warranty terms can apply with different items and you should ask on purchase what these are.
2. Any goods which are subject to a warranty claim should be returned to us for inspection.  Upon inspection we will repair or replace defective part.
3. Warranty does not cover accidental or deliberate damage, acts of god, damage incurred by incorrect use or installation or not following manufacturer’s instructions. The goods must not be modified or repaired. 
4. Any products that have not failed due to manufacturing defect will be repaired at the cost of the customer.  We reserve judgment on this and our decision is final.
5. Carriage and carriage costs for the return of goods to us will be the responsibility of the customer. Non warranty repairs are carriage chargeable.
6. Warranty does not cover the incorrect purchase of our products, if goods are returned due to incorrect specification then we reserve the right to refuse the return of goods or charge a return to stock fee.

All parts from A R Harley & Sons are guaranteed to the original purchaser to be free of manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 10 years* from the date of purchase. Merchandise that fails to conform to these conditions will be repaired or replaced at A R Harley & Sons option if the parts are returned to us by the purchaser within the 10 year warranty period. In the event of the warranty service being required, the original purchaser must call or write to us immediately with the problem. Some problems can be rectified by a telephone call and need no further course of action.  A part that is suspect of being defective must not be replaced by a dealer without prior authorisation from us. If it is deemed necessary for A R Harley & Sons to make an evaluation to determine whether the part was defective, it must be packaged properly to prevent further damage and be returned prepaid to us with a copy of the original invoice of purchase and a detailed letter outlining the nature of the problem, how the part was used and the circumstances at the time of failure. If after an evaluation has been made by A R Harley & Sons and the part  found to be defective, repair or replacement will be granted. Chrome plating is not covered by this warranty. However any problems with chrome plating will be handled in a sympathetic manner on an individual basis.
Additional Warranty Provisions
A R Harley & Sons shall have no obligation in the event a part is modified by any other person or organisation. A R Harley & Sons shall have no obligation if a part becomes defective as a result of improper installation, improper maintenance, improper use, abnormal operation, or any other misuse or mistreatment. A R Harley & Sons shall not be liable for any consequential or incidental damages resulting from the failure of a part, the breach of any warranties, the failure to deliver, the delay in delivery, delivery in non conforming condition, or any other breach of contract or duty between A R Harley & Sons and a customer. A R Harley & Sons parts are designed exclusively(unless otherwise indicated) for use on Harley Davidson motorcycles and ‘Harley’ style custom bikes. A R Harley & Sons shall have no warranty or liability obligation if a part is used in any other application.
